Green and Fay are innovative product designers and furniture makers. We are a small family business, that came into being as a bespoke furniture maker in 1977 and a dedicated kitchen manufacturer in 1980. So far there have been two generations of the family in the business and we hope to have a third generation come on board in a few years time, when our grandchildren are old enough.
We have been ‘a well kept secret’ over the last 34 years as we have supplied our high quality, kitchen units to the trade, on an own-brand basis. We have supplied hundreds of customers throughout London, Surrey and further afield, including independent local kitchen design studios and retailers, builders, developers, interior designers, and even DIY (do it yourself).
If all the kitchen units that we have designed and manufactured over the years, were placed side by side and placed down on the M1 motorway, they would stretch 100 miles from Birmingham to London. We are very proud of this as well as our pricing policy.
We are not too expensive and our kitchen cabinets are built to last. Our fitters say that our rigid kitchen units are superbly made, extremely strong and are one of the easiest to fit that they have come across.

Our home help can remember when she was a child and fell over and cut her knee badly. She has a vivid memory of her mum bandaging it up in the kitchen. Everybody has recollections and a visual image of things that happened in their kitchen. Whether it be a lovely party, supper with friends or putting Lego together with your grandchildren.

We are not a sales based organisation. We believe we give excellent value for money for our quality kitchen cabinets. We therefore do not agressively "sell" our products, as we do not employ sales people, only helpful designers, organisers and consultants.
Buying a kitchen or freestanding kitchen units is about your choice on what is going on around you and how what you buy will impress or disappoint your friends and family. What you buy is about current tastes in fashion and design. How you ‘set’ your house will tell a lot about you and the brands you buy. It’s not about price but how much style you have. Gone are the days when a kitchen was just a ‘working’ kitchen with a scullery attached for the home help to use. It is now a very important family and entertaining room. In fact the best and most useful room in the house when you entertain or have a party. So it has to be a talking point and where you got it from comes into that too.
We provide several choices of kitchen furniture styles, that we believe are currently fashionable. We pride ourselves on our team of friendly, non ‘hard-sell staff who will give you advice both before you buy and throughout your installation.
Any design fees are incorporated within the retail furniture prices we provide. In general fitted kitchen units will be more expensive than freestanding kitchen cabinets because of the time involved of experienced designers, incorporated into the services we provide.
We want to be as straightforward as possible and realise that most people buying a new kitchen have little idea of how complicated a process it is and how long it takes, both for you and for us. This is especially true if you have never bought a kitchen before. So we want to explain exactly what is involved from start to finish, and persuade you to find time to read the information on our website and later in our showrooms and not just look at the photographs of our previous work.
The attention to detail and time required to design, build and fit a quality hand built kitchen is enormous. This means that if you want a fashionble kitchen as cheaply as possible it has to be buying units to DIY install. Obviously, the price you pay increases with the more services we provide for you. So the same kitchen can cost very little or a lot, depending how and where you buy it. The choice , with us, is your choice to decide on price versus service.
Even before you start to ask us questions, we will have to ask you the most important one, namely, how much do you want to spend? Without some sort of estimate it is almost impossible to save both you and us time. We know from our long experience that from start to finish, measuring, drawing plans, consultation on accessories, specifying correctly, one of our designers will spend between 20 to 80 hours designing and managing your project. This design and management time isn’t ‘free’ it is included in the cost of the complete job.
